Privacy
What happens to the information you send us by email.
Data controller
The data controller is the publisher of the site (MEROVAQ project). Contact: contact@merovaq.com.
What data?
The site has no contact form. When you write to contact@merovaq.com, we receive your e-mail address, your name if it appears, the content of your message and any attachments.
Do not send sensitive data (health, opinions, banking details…).
How your message travels
Your e-mail is sent to contact@merovaq.com. This address is an alias: the message is forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to a Gmail (Google) mailbox, where the project lead reads it.
Why?
To read your request, reply to you and discuss your needs.
Legal basis: MEROVAQ’s legitimate interest in replying to people who contact it (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) and, if you ask for a proposal, pre-contractual measures taken at your request (Article 6(1)(b)). Reading this page does not imply a mandatory consent.
Who has access?
The project lead; Cloudflare, which routes e-mails sent to contact@merovaq.com (Email Routing) and protects the site: Cloudflare may therefore process message content in transit; Google, for the receiving Gmail mailbox. Your data is not sold and is not used for advertising.
Transfers outside the European Union
Cloudflare and Google are US companies that may process data outside the European Union, across their international networks. We do not claim that your data stays in Europe.
The safeguards are described in each provider’s own agreements: Cloudflare’s data processing addendum (trust.cloudflare.com) and the Data Privacy Framework for Google (dataprivacyframework.gov).
How long?
Messages received in the Gmail mailbox are kept as long as needed to reply and follow up. No automatic deletion is in place yet: you can ask for erasure of your data at contact@merovaq.com. Messages routed through Cloudflare Email Routing and technical logs follow Cloudflare’s retention periods.
Hosting and site security
Cloudflare, Inc. (United States) hosts and protects the site. To do so, it processes technical connection data such as your IP address. This relies on the legitimate interest in securing the site.
Cookies and trackers
MEROVAQ does not set advertising cookies or audience-measurement tools. The site therefore does not ask for consent and shows no banner. Technical elements that may be used:
- Local storage in your browser (key “mva-hint”): it remembers that you closed the robot’s help bubble. It is never sent to a server and stays until you delete it.
- Cloudflare technical cookies, depending on configuration: __cf_bm (bot protection, expires after 30 minutes of inactivity), cf_clearance (remembers a passed security check), _cfuvid and __cfruid (traffic limiting, if enabled), __cflb and __cfseq (request routing and sequencing, if enabled).
- 3D visit: no preference is stored.
You can delete these items in your browser settings.
Your rights
You may request access to your data, its correction or erasure, restriction of processing, object to it and request its portability, by writing to contact@merovaq.com.
Complaints and other rules
You may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr). This information is based on the GDPR. Other local rules, including those of the country where the site is operated, may also apply.
